Hello Tuesday! Here is this week’s reminder about the SunRise blood drive next Monday January 29th. Although the drive starts at 3:30pm, most openings remain to donate whole blood occur after 4:30pm all the way to 7:20pm. Additionally there are only two double-red donation spots still available at 5:30pm and 6:30pm. The SunRise blood drives are an integral part of the SunRise Mission outreach. Your blood is sent to the many hospitals in our area and is ready to be used when a need arises. You have the opportunity to bless someone else that you will most likely never meet this side of Heaven. To make a difference, you can sign up through either the SunRise app or website under the “events” tab. Thanks for your donation!
In our pick verse today, the volume increases again as John hears the sounds from Heaven of a second Hallelujah chorus. Not only is evil being judged, but the sentence is without possibility of reversal. The symbolic city of Babylon is pictured as being in permanent and everlasting ruins where the smoke of her burning goes up for ever and ever. Because God lives “forever and forever”, its righteous condemnation must also endure forever. In this divine drama, three times God measures out eternal punishment; to the loyal followers of the beast, to the great prostitute, and to the “unholy trinity” of the dragon, beast, and false prophets. Wicked humans, wicked organizations, and wicked spirits alike will one day all receive God’s punishment of eternal destruction.
