Sunday – January 28th – Revelation 19:8     -----

19:8) And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
MORE THAN 35,000 LAWS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN TRYING TO IMPROVE UPON WHAT GOD SAID IN THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.*

Welcome to Sunday! I felt a little nostalgic this morning as I thought about years gone by and beginning a Sunday service welcoming the congregation with “This is the day the lord has made”. Of course, their response “Let us be glad and rejoice in it”, set the tone for our worshipping God that morning. Times have changed, call and responses have faded into the background, but what a great reminder that not only today but everyday we should be glad and rejoice in what God is doing for us. Who might you see today that a little joy and happiness from you might help offset any trials or struggles they may be going through? This is the day the Lord has made.

In our pick verse today the heavenly voices who has just announced the wedding of the Lamb to the church, now focuses their song on the bride of Christ. Of more practical importance to this announcement than the “when” and “where” of the wedding is that the bride has made herself ready. This vividly portrays the responsibility both of local churches and of individual believers to live in obedience and faithfulness to Jesus. The thundering choir announces that God has graced this bride with fine linen that was made available by the righteousness of the saints and martyrs of the faith. As we worship God today, may we be reminded of those who have given their lives serving the Kingdom of Heaven, as well as those who stand in the gap until this marriage celebration begins.

Blessings
