Wednesday – January 31st – Revelation 19:11 – part 1 -----
19:11) Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
HOW MANY FRIENDS WOULD YOU HAVE LEFT IF YOU STARTED SPENDING AS MUCH TIME WITH THEM AS YOU DO WITH GOD?*
Hello Wednesday! Our inspirational thought for today is spot on from the message this past Sunday. I will re-ask the question – “are you prioritizing production over connections? In other words, does the busyness of life rob you of the opportunities to connect with God and with other people? Are the sacrifices made to “get ahead” or at best “stay even”, worth what is produced by your efforts? If your way isn’t working, then maybe a reprioritizing of connections over production will change your life forever. Find ways to spend some quality time with God and that will open the door to friends with blessings.
Our pick verse today marks a major transition in John’s vision of end times. The scene is shifting from Heaven to now focus on the appearance of Jesus on a great white horse. This is the third vision John records with Jesus as the central character. In this vision Christ is seen as the conquering King, a picture of the victorious and triumphant Lord only seen at the end of the ages. For John’s earthly contemporaries it will soon be evident that it is not Caesar who holds the balance of the world’s power, but Jesus Christ the Lord. Interestingly that the specific name of Jesus or Christ is never used in this part of the chapter, but the identity of the rider is crystal clear to all who read these words.
Blessings
