Thursday – February 1st – Revelation 19:11 – part 2 -----
19:11) Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
A DROP OF PRAISE IS UNSUITABLE ACKNOWLEDGMENT FOR AN OCEAN OF MERCY.*
Good Thursday to you! If you are one of the many people who might be struggling with any type of life challenges, including loss, then I would like to invite you to an informative worship gathering on Sunday February 4th at 6pm. Kelly Wever, a licensed counselor, will be sharing her personal testimony and talking about how to better navigate through the steps of overcoming the challenges of life. You can sign up by going to the SunRise website or app and click through the “events” tab. You can also attend without signing up.
In our pick verse today, we continue to unpack verse eleven as John is witnessing the first deployment of the armies of Heaven to the final battle over the devil. Today we will look at two of the descriptors that are used in verses 11-13. In the letter to the church in Laodicea, Jesus calls Himself the “faithful and true witness”. The first-century emperor Domitian had been both unfaithful and false during his reign. Now Jesus is returning to avenge Himself against the even more unfaithful and false beast of the devil. With the power given to Him by God, He will justly judge the world and make war against the forces of evil. The pure and perfect righteousness of God demands that ultimately evil, in all forms, must be judged and defeated. By His victory over sin, death, and the grave Jesus is ready to lead His troops into battle.
Blessings
