Friday – February 2nd – Revelation 19:12    -----

19:12) His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
SIN IS SO BIG THAT IT TAKES A CHRIST WITH A CROSS TO MEASURE IT.*

Happy Friday to you!  Have you heard about our exciting new focus on local missions here at SunRise? Mission outreach at SunRise is one of our top priorities and we realize the need is greater than current options to serve once a quarter. So, our quarterly Serve Saturdays are being revamped. If you are passionate about serving in the community and know an organization or have an idea for a mission opportunity, our goal is to offer ways to serve in mission at least monthly. Please contact me or BJ Filla with a local mission you would like to lead. Also, check out the latest opportunities by going to the SunRise events page and click on the “SunRise on Mission” option on the “events” page.

In our pick verse today, John continues describing Jesus as He leaves the gates of Heaven for the final battle with the devil. Jesus’ eyes like blazing fire symbolized that He sees everything through the lens of perfect truth. As such He possesses all the information to judge each person’s heart properly. Outside appearances may fool other humans, but Jesus sees the truth inside each individual person. In a direct attack on the falsity of evil’s masquerade of power, Jesus appears wearing “many” crowns showing His superiority over the seven crowns worn by the dragon and the ten crowns worn by the antichrist monster. This verse also contains a second title for Jesus, but it remained a mystery, known only to Him, until the perfect timing of God.

Blessings
