Thursday – February 15th – Revelation 20:3b     -----

20:3) The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
PEOPLE ALWAYS REMEMBER A KIND DEED— PARTICULARLY IF IT WAS THEIR OWN.*

Good Thursday to you! While it is still a couple of weeks away, I want to make sure you place on your calendar a great SunRise family event. On Friday March 1st from 5:30p-7:30p we are inviting our church family and friends to a Fish Fry. Bring the whole family and invite your friends to a great time of food and fellowship. To view the menu, cost options, and to sign up please go to the “Events” page on either the SunRise website or app.

In our pick verse today, we continue to unpack verse three in this chapter that contains Satan’s ultimate defeat. Having been bound and cast into the great Abyss, we learn of what me be a very disturbing event mentioned in the last part of this verse. Why the devil must be set free for a short time is not stated and is one of the several mysteries about this chapter. Perhaps the best thinking is that it indicates that God’s power and goodness are so great that He can allow evil to be loosed and it still does not threaten Him or His perfect plan for believers. Again, we must remember that we do not know the mind of God. Attempting interpretation through the lens of human wisdom, reasoning, and logic is pale in comparison to God’s plan.

Blessings
