Monday – February 19th - Postmillennialism    -----

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TELEVISION HAS TURNED THE FAMILY CIRCLE INTO A SEMICIRCLE.*

Hello Monday! Yesterday we held an informational meeting for the Adult Mission Trip to Kentucky in late June. Thanks to the folks who expressed an interest or who are praying about being part of that team. The SunRise youth (6th – 12th grade) have a mission trip to Viper, Kentucky planned for Sunday July 21st - Friday July 26th. For information or to sign up for the trip go to the SunRise “Events” page on either the website or app. We also need adult volunteers to help make this trip a blessing for all involved.

Today we add our third view – Postmillennialism - of the different theological approaches to understanding the 1000 year period mentioned in Revelation chapter twenty.. Referencing Virkler’s Hermeneutics, postmillennialism “is the view that through evangelism, the world eventually will be reached for Christ. There will be a period in which the world will experience joy and peace because of its obedience to God. Christ will return to earth at the end of the millennium” (post-millennium). It must be clarified that postmillennialists do not believe that everyone will be a Christian during this time, but that society as a whole will be Christian. When discussing Postmillennialism, it is important to note that the terms postmillennial and amillennial are sometimes used interchangeably depending on who is speaking. The major difference between the two is that postmillennialists believe that Christianity will spread across the globe and usher in a time of peace. Amillennialists do not believe that Christianity will usher in this time of peace universally, except in the hearts of believers.

Blessings
