Thursday – March 7th – Revelation 20:13     -----

13) The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
BE CAREFUL IF YOU THINK YOU ARE LEADING PEOPLE— THEY MAY BE CHASING YOU.*

Welcome to Thursday!  Interesting inspirational thought for us to ponder today. All of us fill the role of a leader to someone or some group of people. So, then the wisdom of this inspiration statement applies to each and every one of us. What is your leadership style? One of the great distinctions in scripture is between the actions of sheep and goats. A shepherd is often found leading sheep and while at the same time driving goats. The very nature of each set of animals requires one to be pushed and one to be led. Great leaders are those out in front showing folks (employees or church members) the way to something new and better, while encouraging those following to strive to do their very best. When we are able to be that type of positive leader then we will rarely be chased.

John uses our pick verse today as a way to re-emphasize those who will find themselves standing before the judgement seat of God. The scripture is straightforward and clear that all human beings will face this moment of final judgement. John notes again that all temporary places that hold the bodies of the dead will give up their occupants. This includes both the watery graves of the sea and those buried in graves (and yes, those whose bodies have been cremated). For the second time in as many verses John re-emphasizes that each person will be judged according to what they have done while alive. Knowing that this is one of God’s promises, we should set our hearts and minds to serve God as an expression of our thankfulness for our gift of salvation given to us through our faith in Jesus.

Blessings
