In our pick verse today, John continues to reveal God’s great plan for those who said “yes” to following Jesus with their whole heart. Reminiscent of Jesus’ last words on the cross stating “it is finished”, He know proclaims that God’s plan for the new Heaven and earth are also “finished”. At the beginning of the book of Revelation, God called Himself the Alpha and Omega, the one who existed from before the beginning and beyond the end. Now Christ also lays claim to this title. This time the words are explained as the beginning and the end of all things. All things are created by Christ and all things will end in Him. The whole of scripture points to the bringing together the glory of God from start to finish.
