Sunday – February 7th – Ephesians 6:19-20
6:19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Today’s Daily Walk Bible word of inspiration:
YOU CANNOT WALK WITH GOD AND RUN WITH THE DEVIL*
Good Sunday to you!! You have completed another week of serving God and today prayerfully spending time worshiping the God who created you, who loves you unconditionally, and who has lavished grace upon grace on you. I don’t think we hear that foundation affirmation on what our relationship with God is built. If it helps you in your day-to-day discipleship, then write down that phrase and repeat it daily.
With the disciples in Ephesus now full equipped with the armor of God and ready to stand firm in each and every spiritual battle, Paul now gives them the opportunity to hold him in their prayers. Even as their spiritual leader and the most noted evangelist of the Gospel in his day, Paul never felt that he was beyond needing the prayers of fellow Christians for himself. And neither are we! Paul did not ask for deliverance from prison, but instead that he might boldly preach the Gospel wherever God placed Him. We can easily try to set parameters around the “perfect” conditions for us to share our faith boldly, but like Paul our prayers should be that God uses us where planted.
Blessings
