Friday – March 26th – Philippians 4:7 ----
4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Today’s Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought:
TO FEEL SORRY FOR THE NEEDY IS NOT THE MARK OF A CHRISTIAN— TO HELP THEM IS.*
Happy Friday (I am saving “good” until next week). Another weekend is upon us, as is, the opportunity to plan time for personal and spiritual recharging. Make the most of every moment you have in each day. While it is impossible to recapture what is behind us, it is possible to embrace the adventure within the moment we have before us. Use your time wisely and to the glory of God.
Today’s pick verse is yet another of the nuggets of wisdom in this fourth chapter of Paul’s letter to the believers in Philippi. Fresh from his instruction for believes not to worry but instead pray at all times, Paul now adds the next layer of discipleship growth. While we are to let our full requests be made know to God through prayer, we must also understand that God will answer our prayers in ways that bring Glory to God’s name. Therefore, as we grow in our Christian walk, we will discover a peace that puts everything in its proper place. The peace of God’s own being, which God shares with us, has the power to guard or emotions and our thoughts. The Greek word used here suggests that this peace guards our hearts like a squad of soldiers guarding a town from its enemies. One of our greatest forms of Christian witness is to have a peace in all things that is unexplainable to the non-believer. Our peace-filled life can open the door of curiosity that can introduce others to Jesus.
Blessings
