Sunday – March 28th – Philippians 4:9    ----

4:9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Today’s Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought:
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN GOD ASKS NOTHING OF HIS CHILDREN EXCEPT SILENCE, PATIENCE, AND TEARS.*

Sunday has arrived with all of the splendor and excitement possible for the week before Easter. And yes, grass did get mowed yesterday along with a little dirt preparation for garden plants and flowers. The thoughts of Easter being just around the corner helps move our focus to thoughts of new birth, new beginnings, and new opportunities. Plenty of worship times available today either online or in the SunRise building. Please choose one and join us.

In our pick verse for today, Paul brings to conclusion this section on standing firm in the Lord. Paul wanted his readers in Philippi and all readers throughout the last two thousand years to live in accord with three very important ways that lead to being filled with God’s peace. Frist, they needed to remember and put into practice what they had learned from Paul’s teachings. Second, embrace the life-transforming message of the Gospel. Third, to test what they heard from Paul and see if it fit the example of Jesus life. To do this assures them that the God who gives peace will be with them throughout every situation they face. When we focus our discipleship walk on following the example of Jesus, we will become powerful witnesses for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessings
