Wednesday – April 21st – Colossians 1:27-29 -----
1:27) To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28) Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
29) To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for Wednesday:
SINCE WE FIGHT FOR THE LIBERTY TO WORSHIP, SHOULD WE NOT MAKE MORE USE OF THAT LIBERTY?*
Good Wednesday day to you! Today’s inspirational verse could seem somewhat out of place with today being the middle part of the week. One could argue that calls for a commitment to worship are better suited closer to the weekend. While that is a sound argument for corporate worship, pure worship of God is an everyday activity for followers of Jesus. No, not a necessarily a gathering formal worship, but an intentional offering of praise and thanksgiving that celebrates every moment of our life. We should exercise daily our liberty to worship and honor our creator, our redeemer, and our sustainer. In fact, a life that only worships an hour on the weekend is a life that is missing the best part of having a relationship with God.
In our pick verses today, Paul concludes his teaching section on our being in ministry for Jesus. Today we also close out chapter one in this letter to the Colossians. Paul shares that the power behind the mystery he introduced verse twenty-six is the reality of Jesus living in each of us, whether Jew or Gentile. The indwelling Christ available to all humanity is our hope of future glory, and the destiny planned by God for all believers. Since are part of God’s plan of announcement to the world that Jesus Christ raised from the dead this becomes our constant message to the world. Paul encouraged all believers that they must work together to share the gospel on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven. And when times become challenging, we are to remember we are not alone because God is working in and through each of us.
Blessings
