Tuesday – May 18th – Colossians 3:23-25, 4:1    -----

3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.
4:1 Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.

Today’s Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought:
THE BEST OF SAINTS HAVE BORNE THE WORST OF SUFFERINGS.*

Good Tuesday my friends and fellow blog readers. I hope you have had a great start to this week and that you have been able to see God’s hand at work all around you. Reading Job as part of our daily reading through the Bible, one can’t help but think about focusing on the good that is happening instead of obsessing on the trials or struggles of life. No matter what today may bring it is always important to remember God’s love for each of us is greater than the events, circumstances, or even sufferings we encounter. In fact, when we lean on God, those less than welcomed scenarios become more endurable.

In our pick verses for today we close out the third chapter of Paul’s letter to the believers in Colosse. Paul pulls together the essence of being a fully committed follower of Jesus in these three verses. All who profess Jesus as their savior, and seek to grow in their relationship with Him, should live and do what we are called to do sincerely and “heartily” because we are not responsible to please another human being, but instead our focus should be always on doing our best for Jesus our savior. He is the one who will give us our eternal inheritance or punish us without partiality for doing wrong. We may be able to hide our intentions, and even some of our actions from others, but remember all things are displayed clearly and perfectly before God. We must remember that we all have a God who loves us and has chosen to forgive us for our sins. We should try our best to treat others with this same love and respect.

Blessings
