Tuesday June 1st – 1 Thessalonians 2:1-3     -----

1 For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain.
2 But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict.
3 For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE SINGING OF A HYMN SHOULD BE A CONVERSATION BETWEEN FRIENDS.*

Hello Tuesday, hello to the month of June, and for many hello to the first day of the new work week. Same rules apply today as to the typical beginning of a week wherein we start with a renewed focus on how we can best represent the Kingdom of Heaven. Our inspirational thought provides a great way to begin the week by realizing that the King in the Kingdom of Heaven would enjoy a conversation with us today. Not sure what to say, just sing a verse of your favorite Christian song and you have God’s full attention. The secret is to spend time listening for God to provide the chorus for you life.

In our pick verses today, we begin exploring the second chapter of Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonian believers. This new chapter begins by focusing on the integrity of the missionary for the Gospel. While Paul is referencing his ministry, he expects the upmost integrity from all believers. If focused on kingdom results a person’s witness will not be in vain regardless of any challenges we may face. Even though Paul met opposition in Philippi (Acts 16) the bottom-line results was the birth of a community of faith that produced fruit for generations to come. As a witness of the kingdom, we must remember that God is the author of the Gospel we care called to share. Those who preach the Gospel must be approved by God, and those who believe it must live worthy of being called a follower of Jesus. There is a lot more to being a fully committed follower of Jesus than just saying we are, it requires action on our part to make a difference in our lives and in the lives of others.

Blessings
