Saturday – June 5th – 1 Thessalonians 2:10-12     -----
 2:10 You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe;
11 as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children,
12 that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
    Good Saturday to you!  What a great day God has given us to enjoy and to find ways to promote the joy of the Kingdom of Heaven. The inspirational thought for today is one that we should apply every morning when we wake. Giving God the praise for the moment is all about our thanksgiving for what God has done and not out of a sense of obligation. May your day today be blessed and may you be a blessing to God.

     In our pick verses for today Paul concludes his teaching on the importance of maintaining integrity in ministry and mission work. As a reminder for us reading these verses today, Paul and the early apostles were constantly under the scrutiny of those who opposed the message of salvation through faith in Jesus. Included in this ongoing scrutiny was the charge that Paul was in it for the money and the notoriety. Paul used passages like these in many of his writings to discredit such claims against him. The focus on integrity of Paul’s calling and Christian life was definitely a factor in his effectiveness as a missionary of the Gospel. Paul was equally passionate and earnest in presenting the claims and goals of the Gospel which always pointed away from him and straight to Jesus. Paul lived and taught that the earthly goal of Christian ministry is to live a life worthy of being called a follower of Jesus. Is that what people would say about you or me?
