MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT, BUT IT IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM WHAT THEY HAVE.*
Good Wednesday to you! Once again, we have arrived at our mid-week check in. We are also teetering on the halfway point for this month of July. As our inspirational thought for today suggests we create various benchmarks throughout life but there is still something that nudges us to want to do or be even more. Our inspirational statement can be taken in a couple of different ways. If we are seeking things purely for ourselves or if we are seeking a deeper faith and connection to God. One can leave life always in a sense of lacking while the other brings about a life of service filled with peace. The choice is ours and it is made on a daily, if not minute by minute, basis.
Our pick verse for today begins a much longer thought of the apostle Paul that focuses on the reality of the final judgement and glory of God for all believers. Paul is quick to express his thankfulness for the committed lives of the believers in Thessalonica. Even though they face challenges each day, both physical and spiritual, they hold fast to the faith. In fact, they have made it a priority to intentionally seek ways to grow deeper and stronger in their faith. They are not content with having heard the message of Jesus but are focused on putting their faith into action. Not only is this happening on an individual basis within the Thessalonian church, but everyone is working diligently, in spite of any differences, to grow together as a body of believers. All too often we tend to make our faith individual and private, but the call of the Gospel has always been to share with others what we have experienced. Who can you share with today?
