Wednesday – July 21st – 2 Thessalonians 2:4     -----
2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
Hello Wednesday! Our inspirational verse today seems God ordained as it fits perfectly with our first Wednesday Navigating Life speaker series at 7pm. Darryl Burton will be sharing his story of discovering the power of forgiveness – both God’s forgiveness and then the ability for him to forgive others. Forgiveness is available to everyone one of us through God’s unconditional love, and a topic that everyone of us has some room to grow in our forgiveness of others. Reservations are still open at

Our pick verse today continues Paul’s thought on the working of the ultimate lawless one who stands against God. As a true sign of identity, the Antichrist will claim and demand the worship owed to God alone. This is more than the age-old struggles humanity has had with the worship of idols, this is the outright worship of a person as God. The Antichrist will demand the total religious and political loyalty of all followers. Many world figures have arisen who openly oppose God, but the true Antichrist, who will come before Christ’s return has not yet appeared on the scene during the time of Paul’s writing to the Thessalonians nor has the Antichrist yet appeared in our time. The uncertainty of when this all might happen requires two things of faithful followers of Jesus. First be ready, through your relationship with God, in case it happens at this moment. Second, in case it doesn’t happen right now, do all you can to share the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven so others may not be deceived and spend eternity separated from God.
