 Wednesday – July 28th – 2 Thessalonians 2:15-17     -----

2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace,
17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
A PERSON SHOULD GIVE A LOT OF THOUGHT TO A SUDDEN DECISION.*

Good Wednesday to you! Blessed to be alive today and to have the opportunity to serve God with a desire to bless others along the way. Our inspirational thought today could easily be my personal mantra. Life always seems to bring situations that require, at least from my perspective, a quick decision. However, when I take time to pray, seek the counsel of others, and wait on the Lord - the answers are far more correct than when I react in the moment. How about you? Are you ready to slow down and seek God’s wisdom in all matters of life?

In today’s pick verses Paul concludes chapter two of this second letter to the believers in the northern Greek city of Thessalonica. Paul uses these three verses to encourage and pray for this dedicated group of believers. Paul reminds them that even though they have experienced the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives and are eagerly looking forward to the return of Jesus, it is not time to quit serving God with passion and zeal. We must hold fast to what we have been taught from the teachings of the apostles and from the words of scripture. The encouragement that comes from the gospel message is inexhaustible. Our hope rests in the assurance of our salvation that can only come through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. God wants everything we say and do to glorify Him and point people to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessings
