Friday – July 30th – 2 Thessalonians 3:3-4     -----

3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
REPENTANCE MAY BE OLD-FASHIONED, BUT AS LONG AS THERE IS SIN, IT WILL NEVER BE OUTDATED.*

Hello Friday!  Yes, the last week of July is quickly coming to a close and with it at SunRise a flurry of great activity. If you are looking for a relaxing time on Saturday head over to the east SunRise church parking lot for an awesome evening of 70’s and 80’s music by the Hulapoppers. Plus come hungry so you can enjoy the food truck offerings. Admission is free with the music starting at 5pm. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy this opportunity to share some quality time with your SunRise family and friends as we celebrate the last few weeks of the summer season.

In our pick verses today, Paul continues his wrap-up of this second letter to the believers in Thessalonica. Paul is quick to remind the Thessalonians that above all else and in every circumstance or situation the Lord is faithful. He contrasts the work of the “wicked” in verse two by stating that God is always trustworthy. That through the power of the Holy Spirit, God will establish us in the faith and make us spiritually strong. God will guard us from the snares of the evil one. And with God on our side, we are more than able to do all the things God commands us to do in His holy word. We can live in confidence as faithful and faith-filled followers of Jesus.

Blessings
