3:14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

In our pick verses for today, Paul concludes his teachings against idleness as a follower of Jesus. Paul’s warning includes that as faithful believers we are not to have close fellowship with the disobedient lest we become involved with their same disobedience. Do not associate with them in any way that will cause them, or others observing the situation, to think that you approve of their conduct. Instead live so that your good conduct should encourage them to reevaluate their actions. Paul also points out that instead of completely avoiding these disobedient people we are to do our best to warn them about their actions and encourage them in Jesus’ love and forgiveness. We are to always remember that they are also brothers and sisters in the Lord.
