1:16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Hello Sunday!!! What a great and glorious day to celebrate life and our future of life eternal. As we make plans to worship with SunRise today, either in-building or online, we will be talking about “Moving Closer to Engagement” with God in both our individual and corporate lives. Our inspirational thought today carries with it a powerful message of God’s perfect wisdom and grace. I must confess I tend to want the excess side of the strength equation when making my requests known to God. But through today’s thought I am reminded that no matter my situation God is perfect in providing exactly what I need for that moment. May our prayers on this day reflect our thanks for what God has done, is doing, and will do in our lives.
In our pick verses today, we conclude Paul’s testimony of personal experience on God’s transforming grace. Paul’s experience is an encouraging pattern for all who will ultimately believe in Jesus. If God can forgive the persecutor named Saul, and transform him into the missionary giant Paul, imagine what God can do with you. Paul is so changed that he raises his praise to God, the eternal King who has attributes that far surpass any known pagan god of the first century. As followers of Jesus today, there still exists no rival to the God of the Bible and that is why we gather in heart, mind, spirit, and when possible, in-person to worship God and show our gratefulness for what God has done for us.
