Monday – November 29th – Titus 2:15 -----
2:15) Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for Monday:
WORRY AND WORSHIP ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.*
Welcome to another Monday in 2021 and the last Monday in the month of November. Time is quickly counting down in this year and with it any big plans that may need a boost to be finished by December 31st. Our inspirational thought for today is a great encouragement for us to realize that we can either worship God as our creator and savior, or we can sit around and worry and stew about things that concern us. But we can not do both at the same time. If we put our whole trust in God than we also believe that God can and will take care of any of the things on our worry list. It is also important to remember that God may not answer our requests immediately, but when it is answered it is answered perfectly in the will of God. As we begin a new week let us all agree to worship more and worry less.
Today we conclude chapter two and Paul’s teaching on the workings of grace and salvation. Titus was to proclaim and exhort the teachings of the truth of the gospels as Paul had outlined in the beginning of this chapter. He was to encourage those who were slow to follow it. Because the message of Jesus was true, and Titus’ calling was from God he was to approach his work with confident authority. Titus was reminded that he should never be intimidated by those who disagree with Christian truth. Even with all of the cultural and societal challenges Titus faced on the island of Crete, Paul was confident that this young pastor could stand firm in the faith as long as he relied on the power of the Holy Spirit to help him discern truth. We also need to lean into the Holy Spirit so we can be an effective disciple of Jesus.
Blessings
