Friday – December 3rd – Titus 3:8 -----
3:8) This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
OUR GOD HAS A BIG ERASER.*
Hello Friday! The end of the week has arrived, and a great weekend of celebrations await. The SunRise Candy Cane Bash is on Saturday beginning at 6pm with crafts, refreshments, and a photo opportunity with Santa. At 7pm we will celebrate the season with some great Christmas songs for children and adults of all ages. This is also the second weekend of Advent in our series “Expect The Unexpected”. All services online and inbuilding will have an unexpected surprise this weekend as we focus on the story of Mary and how God is all about “Breaking Class Expectations”.
In our pick verse today, Paul continues to extol the virtues of our being saved by grace for the purpose of then doing good works that benefit others. Paul’s “faithful saying” emphasizes the certainty of God’s grace in Jesus as had been described in verses four-seven. Christian leaders should constantly affirm that those who have experienced this grace should make every effort to show it by continually striving to do good works. These works are not the cause of our salvation, but the necessary fruit that comes as a result of our salvation. What fruit have you produced today? This week? This month? This year?
Blessings
