The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
CHRISTMAS IS THE SEASON TO FOCUS ON THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL.*

Good Saturday to you. We are now in our countdown of one week from Christmas Day. Friends, it is only a blink or two away. Our inspirational thought serves as a reminder of the reason for this season. In the midst of our hustle and bustle of holiday activities we can not forget that Jesus was God’s personal and personalized gift to each of us. And because of this gift filled with love and grace we, who have accepted Jesus, have the wonderful opportunity to share that gift forward to others. Praying for those you know that don’t yet know Jesus paves the way for the Holy Spirit to work in their lives. Many a person has come under the conviction of the Lord as a result of someone praying for them. Who might you add to your prayer list today?

In our pick verses today, Paul puts the final touches on his appeal to Philemon to accept Onesimus back into this home. Paul is confident that a positive response from Philemon would bring great joy to the both of them. You have to admire Paul turning up the heat a little when he acknowledges that he is confident that Philemon will not only say yes to his request but will respond in an even more positive way. What we must also consider as we near the end of this letter is the humility that must have accompanied Onesimus back to Philemon. Fully knowing he had done his master wrong by running away and that he still faced the potential for strict discipline. How easy it would have been for Onesimus to somehow not make his way back home and avoid possible punishment. But God had changed his heart and gave him the courage to make right the wrong he had committed. I pray that I can have that same conviction when the need arises.

Blessings
