Tuesday – December 21st – Hebrews 1:1-2     -----

1) God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
2) has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

     WE SHOULD HAVE REGULAR CHECKUPS TO AVOID TRUTH-DECAY.*

     Happy Tuesday to you and happy first day of winter! We are in full countdown mode to Christmas Eve and the awesome options for SunRise worship. Our online service premiers at 9am on Facebook, YouTube, and on the SunRise app and website. Our inbuilding options begin at 1pm with a traditional music service followed by 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 11pm contemporary music services. Communion and candle lighting will be part of our inbuilding experience. Remember the theme of our Christmas series is “Expect the Unexpected”. God is in the business of doing the unexpected in our lives and in this world.

     Welcome to the New Testament book of Hebrews. Certainly, this book’s opening verses are all about expecting the unexpected. God used many approaches to send divine messages to people in Old Testament times. God spoke to Isaiah in visions, to Jacob in a dream, and personally to both Abraham and Moses. Jewish people familiar with these stories would not have found it hard to believe that God was still revealing His will. But it was astonishing for them to thing that God’s current revelation was by speaking through His son Jesus the Christ. Jesus is the fulfillment and culmination of God’s revelation across the centuries. When we come to know Jesus, we have all we need to be saved from our sin and to live in a perfect relationship with God.  What a great week to make a life changing decision for Jesus, or to move closer to Jesus as an already believer.

Blessings
  Pastor Jim
