The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
IT IS BETTER TO GO STRAIGHT THAN TO MOVE IN THE BEST OF CIRCLES.*

Good Thursday morning to you!  I want to celebrate this morning with the growing number of people who are double-dipping in God’s word in 2022. A handful of you have reached out and shared with me that in addition to following the daily scripture blog they are also embarking on the daunting yet highly rewarding task of reading through the Bible this year. Congratulations, and for those still sitting on the fence it is not to late to jump in for the journey of a lifetime. In the Daily Walk Bible program, we started reading today the story of Joseph and his many trials.

In our scripture verses for today our author concludes his teachings on the importance of our being faithfully connected to the truth of the Gospel and the mission of Jesus. To be faithful and faith-filled is to hold firmly in our confidence of the salvation provided in and through Jesus. This faith is also grounded in our belief of his triumphant return at the end of the ages. There can be no security in Jesus without our steadfast faithfulness to Jesus and His teachings. Verse fifteen quotes Psalm 95:7-8 as a timeless warning to not let our hearts be hardened by the tempting of the evil one and thus rebel against the perfect word, will, and way of God for our lives. “Today” is always a right and perfect day for us to obey God. What steps might you take today to be a witness to the reality of God’s love?

Blessings
  Pastor Jim
