Friday – March 11th, - Hebrews 10:11-13     -----

10:11)   And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12) But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
13) from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
FORGIVENESS WARMS THE HEART AND COOLS THE STING.*

Happy Friday my friends – especially those who woke this morning to a reminder it is still nine more days until spring! The countdown over the next nine days may also include the reality that spring may actually mean spring training is about to burst forth like a fresh blooming flower. While I am on things pointing to warmness, our inspirational thought brings forth a great opportunity for us to help lift people’s spirits through a kind word or generous action. When was the last time you randomly assisted a person or helped when someone could use an extra set of hands?  Was it someone you knew or a stranger you encountered? From my experience, helping others has the dual effect of warming both giver and receiver in each encounter. With eyes wide open today – discover whom is God placing in your path as a receiver of His blessings.

In our pick verses today, the author of Hebrews continues to draw from the power of Jesus’ work as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Throughout the traditions of the Old Testament, the High Priest stands upright so that he can offer the animal sacrifice on behalf of the people. But, by contrast, Jesus assumed a sitting position, as an indication that His sacrifice is complete. He has personally dealt with sin and has stepped into the position of ultimate authority at the right hand of God. He need not do anything more to do away with sin. At the end of time all His enemies will be made his footstool. The devil already knows the outcome of his fight against God, yet still tries to inflict as much damage as possible in our relationships through tempting us to sin against God. We have the power of the Holy Spirit on our side as the best defense against the devil’s attacks. Victory is ours in the name of Jesus.

Blessings
