Sunday – March 13th – Hebrews 10:15-18     -----

10:15)    But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16) "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"
17) then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
18) Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE WORLD CROWNS SUCCESS, BUT GOD CROWNS FAITHFULNESS.*

Blessed Sunday to you! Enjoy your time worshiping God today. May your day be filled with an abundance of opportunities to enjoy family, friends, and the beauty of God’s creation. Our inspirational thought today is a great reminder to me of how I should best invest my time, energy, and efforts. Of course, we all want to work toward being successful in our chosen profession, and we know that the reward of hard work is being able to provide for our needs and the needs of others. However, we should never let our personal drive for success, for fame, or for fortune take the place of our quest to grow in our relationship with God. In fact, the Bible clearly states that we are to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and then God will backfill in abundance all the things we need in life. As you wind down your weekend, now is a great time to begin thinking about how you can keep faithfulness at the top of your priority list.

In our pick verses today, we receive affirmation that God’s plan of rescuing humanity from our sins is to completely remove past sin from our record. The last few days we have been immersed in the author’s teaching about Jesus being the perfect High Priest who is now sitting at God’s right hand in Heaven. To validate his teaching the author quotes from the thirty-first chapter of the Old Testament prophet Jeremiah. Verses thirty-three and thirty-four state that the Holy Spirit witnesses on behalf of all Heaven to our deliverance from sin through the blood sacrifice of Jesus. The Holy Spirit testifies that the sacrifice of Jesus delivers us completely from both the power and the guilt of sin. Within this single act of sacrifice is our personal invitation to full salvation, and as such no other sacrifice will ever be necessary again. Since we are cleansed of our sin there is no need for a future sacrifice by anyone.

Blessings
