Thursday – March 17th – Hebrews 10:24-25     ------

10:24)    And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
NO ONE SO THOROUGHLY APPRECIATES THE VALUE OF CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AS THE ONE WHO IS GIVING IT.*

Hello Thursday! The words of the Bible can easily place us squarely on the path of salvation, can give us great historical information in how the people of God have intersected history, and can give insight into the teachings of Jesus. Our inspirational thought today reminds me that in addition to all the givens above the Bible also goes to great lengths to teach us how best to interact with other human beings. We know the devil does his best to disrupt our relationships with others and one of his tactics is to tempt us to inflate our own self-opinion at the expense of our view of others. As this week is winding down, how might we find ways to lift people up and encourage them in their faith journey?

In our pick verses today, we come across what is probably a more familiar verse of scripture for many of us. The author of Hebrews is focusing on encouraging us to utilize our connection through Jesus to be instinctively drawn closer to God. Today we are reminded that Christians need to experience the support of each other in order to survive the tempting of the devil, as well as the struggles of life. We must diligently encourage one another to show love through our offerings of good works. We can help others to be faithful to Jesus by regularly assembling together for worship and fellowship. In the day of this writing some Christians were not attending worship and fellowship. Perhaps because they feared persecution or because they falsely through they could go it alone. John Wesley once stated that Christianity is essentially a social religion. What might be some of the reasons you have heard why people might avoid coming together in Christian community?

Blessings
