Friday – March 18th – Hebrews 10:26-27     -----

10:26)     For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
27) but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
PATIENCE IS ACCEPTING A DIFFICULT SITUATION WITHOUT GIVING GOD A DEADLINE FOR REMOVING IT.*

Happy Friday my blog reading friends. Another end of the week has arrived and another opportunity for us to reflect on how well we have represented the Kingdom of Heaven both on and off the field. I am reminded of a previous pick scripture from 2 Timothy 4:2 – “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season;...” This same concept applies to how we represent the kingdom when we are going through our normal day. How well do we represent Jesus when we think no one is watching us? Are we guilty of being a “super Christian” when we are in the shadows of the church steeple, but when away in the shadows of the world are we a different person? Do our lives “preach” the gospel to those who are not yet believers? Would others be excited about knowing the Jesus we represent in our words and actions? You get the idea – we are never not a follower of Jesus once we start following Jesus.

In our pick verses today, we are given the opportunity to see and experience the power of God’s forgiveness of sin. The author speaks of the action for some people to “sin willingly” which indicates their intentional, stubborn, persistent, deliberate rejection of the life changing message of the Gospel. If we choose to reject the sacrifice of Jesus, there is not a way for us to experience the blessings of Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins. If we are not freed from sin, there is nothing to deliver us from the fearful reality of God’s judgement. Our witness of the Gospel through our actions and reactions can become vital to encourage a person to take the next step in allowing the Holy Spirit to move them into a life-long relationship with Jesus. Another reminder we are always a follower of Jesus once we start following Jesus.

Blessings
