Monday – March 28th – Hebrews 11:7     -----

11:7)    By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN GOD ASKS NOTHING OF HIS CHILDREN EXCEPT SILENCE, PATIENCE, AND TEARS.*

Ah Monday. What else can be said about Monday that I haven’t already said a hundred times before. I will simply say embrace Monday and make it a day where you serve the Lord with all the strength, mind, heart, and soul that you have. Our inspirational thought today probably needs a tad bit of context as how it relates to the section I am reading from the Old Testament. In this reading we are introduced to an interesting acronym – WOTL. In case you didn’t immediately figure it out - it stands for “Wait On The Lord”. I am not very good as this instruction. WOTL is in direct opposition to impatience. Waiting on the Lord may be the biggest ongoing challenge (or temptation) many of us will face during our life. My personal definition of sin is when we are impatient and fail to wait on the Lord for instructions, insight, direction, or rest. My goal this week is to practice silence, patience, and if necessary, tears as I WOTL.

In our pick verses today, we begin a long list of Old Testament heroes who are marked by God as having faith in times of life challenges. Noah, because of his godly fear, along with his faith in and reverence for God prepared for a flood that was not yet seen. His action of obedience contrasted the condemnation of the rest of the world. Living according to the will of God often brings guilt on and arouses the ire of sinners who live in the ways of the world. During those days of building, Noah intentionally vocalized to the people around him the need for their repentance. For seventy years, the entire time it took him to build the Ark, Noah did his best to change the hearts and minds of those he encountered. Yet, the sum of all his preaching was unable to save anyone outside his own family. We should not become discouraged when we feel our witness falls on deaf ears, we must continue to share and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting.

Blessings
