Good day to Saturday! Another great weekend God has created for us to enjoy. This is also the last weekend of our current SunRise teaching series – 3:16 Believer. What a fun and exciting series this has been for me. From exploring a handful of the 3:16 chapter/verses in the Bible to being enlightened to the excitement of discovering potentially meaningful birthday verses, we are leaning the Bible can be more than just one long story to be read from Genesis to Revelation. This week we conclude the series with another of the top ten 3:16s in the Bible plus another great memory verse, and the possibility of another surprise along the way. Online or in-building are your options to worship with SunRise this weekend.
Today we read and explore the second half of the closing benediction from Hebrews chapter thirteen. The author continues the thoughts presented in verse twenty that summarize the power of the Gospel with verse twenty-one that reminds the readers of this book what the human response is to the divine work of Jesus. The writer is praying this benediction with assurance that God will supply to us, through Jesus, everything necessary for us to be what God wants to be and what God wants us to do with our lives. Because Jesus is working on our behalf our response is to give Him the glory for our accomplishments. How might your life be a pleasing offering to God today, this weekend, next week, next month, or next year?
