Sunday - August 14th - James 5:20     ------

5:20)  you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WHEN LIFE IS FILLED WITH SHADOWS, LOOK FOR THE SUNSHINE.*

Hey, Hey its Sunday! This is the day the Lord has made for us, let us be glad and rejoice in it! Our inspirational thought for today comes from the Daily Walk Bible’s conclusion of Jeremiah’s book of Lamentations. Jeremiah witnessed firsthand the complete and utter destruction of the city of Jerusalem, including the sacred Temple. He watched as people starved to death while others were taken into captivity to the nation of Babylon. His beloved city, country, and nation was desolate, yet he held onto God’s promise of restoration. Our inspirational thought reminds us that in the darkness moment of our lives we need to lean into the promises of God. I am reminded of the great old hymn – Standing On the Promises of God. Wow that would make a great series on commitment.

In our pick verse today, we draw to a close the New Testament book of James with one more of his many bits of practical wisdom for believers of any generation. In a continuation of yesterday’s thought on reclaiming the life of a fallen believer, we receive this word of encouragement for those who turn their lives around. God has given each believer the responsibility to stand alongside someone who is struggling spiritually in order that they may not follow through on their total and absolute rejection of Jesus. A spiritual death in this life, and eternal death in the hereafter is what a fallen person needs to be save from. Whenever a sinner confesses their sin and turns from their sinful way, their sins are covered by the atonement of Jesus. Whom might God be pointing you toward to help them gain strength and perspective in the spiritual journey?

Blessings
