22) You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.

DOES YOUR LIFE AFFIRM THE REALITY OF GOD OR UNDERMINE IT?*
Xin chao Tuesday! Today’s international greeting takes us a litter further east than our greeting from yesterday. The straightforwardness of our inspirational thought carries with it a power-packed punch for a Tuesday. This probably should be a question we ask ourselves each and every day, possibly several times each day. When folks observe you in person, and/or social media footprint, do they get a glimpse of Jesus? Do your words and/or actions draw folks closer to Jesus? When you respond to challenges or unfulfilled expectations in life, do people want to know your secret in possessing such a positive attitude? Those are some deep questions for a Tuesday, but in growing the Kingdom of Heaven there are not days off.
In our pick verse today, Peter continues laying out the life of holiness expected for a follower of Jesus. When we both trust and then obey the truth of God that comes through the Holy Spirit, our hearts are purified, and we are truly able to love others more than we love ourselves. Only those who are purified from lust, envy, jealous, self-gratification, or other self-promoting sins can love sincerely from the heart. Wesley’s understanding of a pure heart is one that is “pure from any spot of unholy desire”. While that may seem like a tall order for sinfully infected humans, remember all things are possible when we allow God to fully operate within our heart.
