The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
CHRIST IS THE MEETING POINT BETWEEN THE TRINITY AND THE SINNER’S SOUL.*

Welcome Wednesday. Goes without saying that we have reached the mid-point of the workweek. Hope you are being blessed by God and in turn blessing others through what you have received. If I could accomplish that little statement of faith every day, I am convinced my outlook on life would be entirely Heavenly focused. Our inspirational thought for today helps us focus on things of Heaven with a little bit more intentionality. When we become followers of Jesus, we are welcomed into a powerful relationship with the trinitarian nature of God. Everything we read in scripture about the power and promises of God are immediately ours. There is not “a mandatory training period” or “required apprenticeship” to be a full inheritor of the Kingdom of Heaven. Yes, there is undeniable need for us to intentionally grow in our personal spiritual maturity, but that growth is not required for us to join the family of God.

In our pick verse today, we dive into a new teaching section by Peter where he lifts up a pattern for Jesus’ suffering and exaltation. Today’s verse reminds and reinforces the mission of Jesus in the flesh. While it would be tempting to lump this verse in with the next two verses because of the tremendous amount of theological debate and biblical interpretation surrounding verses nineteen and twenty, I want to give full consideration to what is stated as fact in verse eighteen before we move on. Peter teaches that Jesus came not just for the already righteous – that happens at his second coming – but his sacrificial death was for all people. Every person you see today – in person, on TV, or hear on the radio, or read on social media (regardless if you agree with them or not) – Jesus Christ came into the world and died for their sins. Your belief in Jesus does not make your better at the human level. In fact, it should be your inspiration to help others come to know Jesus like you know Him. Oh wait, make that better than you know Him just to be safe.

Blessings
