The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
JESUS CHRIST IS GOD’S EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE’S TOTAL NEED.*

A blessed Thursday to you! Our inspirational thought for today is a great one for us to write out where we can constantly keep it in the front of our mind. Throughout the Bible we can read story after story of how God’s power overcomes every kind of obstacle known to humanity. Maybe a better way of stating this biblical truth is to make a list of those things in your life that you are convinced that are out of God’s ability to control. How long is your list? Is your list generated because of your impatience with God responding or because God’s response is different then what you hoped for because your perspective of the problem is greater that your personal experience with God, or some combination of the three?

In our pick verses today, Peter is quick to remind all believers that one of their relational responsibilities within the family of believers is to love others as Christ has loved us. When we love fellow Christians and are willing to forgive them of their sins, we too will be forgiven. In this verse Peter is passing along the teachings he heard from Jesus’ sermon on the mount. An important aspect to remember in loving others is that we are to love the person but not to treat their sin as acceptable. The word of God is to be the only compass we use to understand what God accepts and does not accept that filters through our thoughts, our words, and/or our actions. Jesus was not shy or unloving when he told those he had forgiven to go and sin no more. Jesus taught, and the apostles echoed, that for a person to experience life abundantly on this earth that they must live obediently under God’s word, God’s will, and God’s way. Yes, that is a tall order, but with the power of the Holy Spirit working inside us, it is completely possible for every believer.

Blessings
