2:17) These people are as useless as dried-up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
IN CHRIST WE SEE GOD’S PURPOSE IN MAKING THE WORLD AND IN MAKING US.*

Happy middle of the week Wednesday to you! What a wonderful reminder in the inspirational thought of our place in the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible is God’s personal account detailing the relationship He intends for His creation. And each one of us have a lead role in this divine story. We are created in God’s image and are a masterpiece in His eyes. We are loved unconditionally and forgiven of our every sin through our heartfelt requests. We were created for the specific and sole purpose of being in a relationship with God. Yes, it might be proper to use the overall term “humanity”, but in reality, it is simply and singularly just you and God. God loves no one person more than any other. You are as special to God as anyone else in the world – past, present, or future. How might you live differently knowing that God made you with an awesome purpose in mind?

In our pick verse today, Peter continues exposing the false teachers for the liars they are deep inside. When put to the test, the message of the false teachers will prove as unsatisfying as wells without water and as changeable as clouds of a rolling storm. With them there exists the appearance of something important and influential being present, but truth be shown, nothing substantial or solid on which to build a lasting faith.  When people choose to follow them, their teaching and practices will only lead to the eternal darkness of separation from God and the Kingdom of Heaven. Peter’s warning is still relevant for us today – stay away from this slick talking charlatans of false truth.

Blessings
