The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
IN GOD’S STRATEGY FOR SUCCESSFUL LIVING, CHARACTER IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN INTELLIGENCE.*

Good Thursday to you! Our inspirational thought for today is very profound and directly spot on as we are still in the early navigation of 2023. In the world today there is far from a shortage of ideas, strategies, or investments that will almost guarantees result equal to a successful lifestyle. Ever human centered attempt at being successful will always fall short at some point in the journey. It may be difficult to see at first, especially when the rewards are rolling in, but eventually the glitter loses its luster. Part of our human nature is that we are never satisfied with what we have or where we are in life, so we push for more and more. And then we are caught up in a vicious circle of recurring disappointment. However, God knows the best success comes from the depth of our character. We may never have millions (or hundreds), but we will possess a peace that passes all human understanding.  May we all discover the peace that is only found in being a follower of Jesus.

In our pick verses today, John sets forth two important concepts in this short verse. First, John reminds us that we, through our adoption by the blood of Jesus, are children of the God of creation. We are granted the full rights and privileges of the royalty of the Kingdom of Heaven. We stand as equal inheritors of all riches and blessings in the city made of gold. Second, because of this right standing with God we are to put God’s love into action. Love is practical, it is not so much of a feeling as it is doing good to/for others. Some people talk about love, while others roll up their sleeves and show love. Which one are you?

Blessings
