1:6) And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
       MOST OF US DON’T PUT OUR BEST FOOT FORWARD UNTIL WE GET THE OTHER ONE IN HOT WATER.*

      Good Sunday to you! What a great day to worship God and give thanks for all of the blessings we have received through His goodness and mercy. Our inspirational thought for today seems to fit perfectly for a day when we gather to worship the one who created us. Yes, the truth of the inspirational thought probably hits pretty close to home for many of us. Many times my need for Jesus and my attention to His word are amplified when I find myself unable to control my situations. In other words when I have exhausted all of my resources – and then find myself with a foot in hot water – I turn to God for answers, help, and peace. As we worship today let us keep the truth of God close to us at all times. And in doing so we might avoid having hot feet.

     In our pick verse today, Jude continues his teaching on how God desires to hold us accountable to His word, His way, His will, and His when. In this verse he is referring to the angels who rebelled against the will of God and who eventually became the devil and his demonic angels. Even angels, when disobedient to the word of God, will suffer the judgment of God. There will come a time at the end of the ages when all those who have rebelled or resisted God will stand before Him in eternal and everlasting judgment. Our decisions now to accept Jesus as our savior and our lives lived as faithful and fruitful followers of Him will bring the words “well done good and faithful servant” spoken from the throne of Heaven.

Blessings
