Sunday – March 26th – Jude 1:14-15     -----

1:14) Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
15) to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TO FEEL SORRY FOR THE NEEDY IS NOT THE MARK OF A CHRISTIAN— TO HELP THEM IS.*

Good Sunday to you! Our inspirational thought (I-thought) for today is a great way to center ourselves as we prepare to spend some quality time with God. As I read this I-thought for today, I am reminded there is a huge difference between thought and action. It is much easier, some might say high and noble, to be aware of the needs of folks around us, yet harder to do something about it. And yes, the first step of responding to the needs of others is to recognize a need exists. But, unless some type of intentionally action is taken to make a difference we fall far short of God’s desire to work through us as His followers. Interestingly, this inspirational thought arrives for our consideration on the same day our “Truth Be Told” parable is highlights the response of the Good Samaritan. You can’t out plan God.

In our pick verses today, Jude steps back to include an Old Testament hero in his condemnation of those who are intent to lead believers astray. Many early Christians held Enoch in high regard as a person who was in close relationship to God. He represented the seventh generation from Adam, a number that symbolized to the Christian community God’s perfection. In our verses today, Jude quotes from an outside of scripture book entitled 1 Enoch, although not in the Bible, many Christians considered it a useful book of wisdom. In his prophesy, Enoch states that God will always judge the ungodly – and for emphasis repeats it four times. What should be expected, God’s judgement is more severe on those who intentionally lead others astray. We have the opportunity to learn from those who have misrepresented God and then to seek after the truth of God.

Blessings
