The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE ALTERNATIVE TO DISCIPLINE IS DISASTER.*

WW -Welcome to Wednesday! Another opportunity for a mid-week check-up on our discipleship activities. As a follow up to this past Sunday’s exploration of the parable of the Good Samaritan, have you become aware of any previously unseen needs around you? What needs have you seized the opportunity to act upon on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven? Looking at this parable from a different direction, how about reaching out and thanking someone who has played the Good Samaritan in your life. If, your previous Good Samaritan is an unknown person to you, thank them by extending compassion to someone else. The more God blesses us the more God will give us the opportunities to bless others.

In our pick verses today, Jude continues addressing the “beloved” in the church of his day, and by association to the church people of today. Those beloved believers are contrasted with the worldly people of verse nineteen. They are urged to practice the gospel they have received. Jude instructs these believers to embrace the true teaching they received from the apostles about what Christians should believe and how they apply those beliefs to their individual and corporate lives. At all times, Jude encourages us to pray in the power of the Holy Spirit as we seek direction according to God’s will. All praying people should pray for the Holy Spirit’s power to fill our lives. The Spirit-filled believer, being totally submitted to God’s will is enriched and strengthened by the filling of the Holy Spirit filling as we pray according to God’s perfect will.

Blessings
