Monday – May 22nd – Revelation 3:9      -----

3:9) Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie--indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:

Hello Monday!!! Continuing our reading in the Daily Walk Bible from the book of Job we have another powerful inspirational thought for us to consider. In our world today, that is overshadowed by almost utter and complete discouragement, we can be overcomers by standing on the perfect hope that comes from only a relationship with God. There is no hope like the hope that comes in the name of the Lord. Songs have been written about this, sermons have been delivered about this, conversations have taken place based on this, but allowing it to penetrate the hopelessness of lives must come from the heart of the hearer. How might we be an encouraging word of hope in Christ this week?

In our pick verse today, Jesus continues to show his support for the faith of the believers in Philadelphia. However, even in this city of brotherly love, there was a small group of Jewish believers that still insisted that their way was the only way to Heaven. In this verse Jesus calls out those of the Jewish sect that claim that they, not the Christians were the only heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven. In direct response, Jesus declared that instead of being God’s people these Jews were of the synagogue of Satan. In the end they will have to acknowledge that those who believed in Jesus are the true people of God and the future inheritors of the Kingdom of Heaven.
