Saturday – July 8th – Revelation 6:10 -----
6:10) They shouted to the Lord and said, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you judge the people who belong to this world and avenge our blood for what they have done to us?”
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TRUTH IS ALWAYS NARROW, BUT ERROR GOES OFF IN ALL DIRECTIONS.*
Yes, it is just another beautiful Saturday in July, okay maybe another rainy Saturday in July but still beautiful. If today is Saturday than that means tomorrow is Sunday, the day to worship God together as a church family. This week we look at the importance of “Pushing Pause” in our life. Think about it this way - the Bible says that busyness can lead to doubt and a spiritual disconnection from God. If we are too busy for God, our stillness will vanish, along with our inner peace. Instead of being busy, learn how to press the pause button in your own life and how we can instead put feet to our faith. Push pause on the busyness of your life and join us this weekend in the building at 8am and 9:45am or livestream at 9:45am.
In our pick verse today, John records the heart cry of the saints located under the altar of God. These martyred saints are not crying out for personal revenge for the actions taken against them. They accept their fate as a necessary badge of honor that comes with advancing the gospel throughout a sin filled world. They instead are asking for judgement on these wicked people so that God’s righteousness will be displayed, and His kingdom to be fully established. Their cries are pointing to the people “of” this world who oppose God’s word, God’s will, God’s way, and God’s when. As we wait for the day of the rapture Christians are called to be “in” this world, but not “of” this world.
Blessings
