Tuesday – July 18th – Revelation 7:9-10 -----
7:9) After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
10) and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
MERCY WITHOUT JUSTICE BECOMES UNMERCIFUL; JUSTICE WITHOUT MERCY, UNJUST.*
Good Tuesday to you! Who doesn’t love a great picnic? The SunRise Church picnic is this coming Sunday July 23rd following the 9:45am service. Walking Tacos are on the menu plus drinks and dessert. There will be water fun for the kids and cornhole tournament for the adults. This is a great place to visit with friends and meet new folks at SunRise. We would encourage you to sign-up in advance at the events page on either the SunRise app or website. Oh, and be praying for beautiful weather in the McClure parking lot.
In our pick verses today, John continues to expand on his vision as he observes the events in Heaven that bring about the conclusion of the world as we know it. John saw a great number and a vastly diversified assembly of God’s redeemed people surrounding the throne of Heaven. The white robes symbolize the now achieved holiness of each person who had been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. The palm branches represent each of their individual victories that was brought about by the overall victory of Jesus over sin and death. Their voices proclaim that salvation can only come from the triune nature of God, who has delivered us from sin in our earthly life and from condemnation in the day of judgment. When we belong to Jesus there is no longer fear about what will happen when we die. We have the assurance that we are God’s chosen people.
Blessings
