The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
ALTHOUGH DISCIPLES ARE TO BE SEEN DOING GOOD WORKS, THEY MUST NOT DO GOOD WORKS IN ORDER TO BE SEEN.*

Hello Monday! We welcome a new week and a new freshly started month as it stretches out before us. How can we bring glory and honor to God’s name this week as we work together to help populate the Kingdom of Heaven? Spiritual growth opportunities will be some of this week’s promotional highlights I plan on sharing with you. On Saturday October 7th the local Walk To Emmaus Spiritual Retreat board will host an informational gathering beginning with a meal at noon followed by worship, communion, and fellowship. If you are interested in learning more about attending a three-day spiritual retreat where you can disconnect form the world while reconnecting with God, then joins us at SunRise on Saturday. You can contact myself jdblue@sunrisefamily.org for more information.

In our pick verse today, John concludes this twelfth chapter of Revelation that has been highlighted by multiple defeats of the great dragon’s efforts to destroy the church in the ending days of the world. While this chapter has witnessed several different characters, it closes with the first-time appearance of the women’s offsprings. Since the women represents God’s redeemed people collectively as the church, then the offsprings are individual believers alive during these final desperate days of the devil. The devil was enraged at the women because God protected her. The actions of God will only serve to spur the devil into an all-out assault against individual believers with the result being the creation new martyrs of the faith. The victorious in these individual battles will be those who obey God’s commandments and who hold securely to the testimony of Jesus. These are the same instruction that believers of every generation have received. Yes, some will lose their lives, but they will not lose their eternity in Heaven.

Blessings
