Monday – October 16th – Revelation 13:15     ------

13:15) He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WHEN YOU PRAY, MAKE SURE YOUR WILL IS IN NEUTRAL SO GOD CAN SHIFT IT.*

Hello Monday! Our inspirational thought for today is a great reminder of what our prayer life should resemble. Most of the time when I prayer I am filled with desires, wants, opinions, and/or demands on how I want God to answer my prayer. Many times, our prayers are a tug-of-war of competing wills. My will verses God’s will, and only occasionally do our wills align on the same side of an issue. A huge reason for this is that my worldview is limited and often influenced through the lens of a sinful world, while God’s will is overarching and seen through the lens of His perfect will. This inspirational thought calls me into accountability by challenging my mind to discover God’s mind, so when I prayer I am praying His will. Even Jesus requested in the garden that God’s will be done.

In our pick verse today, we continue to read of the actions Satan is taking at the end of time to bring down the humans who still remain. Even though John describes in detail what is revealed to him in his vision, none of us can be exactly sure of what the deeds will specifically be until they unfold. The world has changed drastically since the end of the first century AD. Languages, cultures, and technologies that were well beyond the ability for John to comprehend and write, as well as the strangeness of such unknow concepts to his original readers. We must rest assured that if our faith and trust is in God, then above all else we will not be around for this part of the story as we will have already been raptured to Heaven. What these chapters should cause in us is an urgency to share the Gospel to others before these horrific days arrive. If we can spare one person from being part of the tragic events leading to the end of the world, then we are being a blessing to others.

Blessings
