Sunday – November 5th – Revelation 14:20      -----

14:20) And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
THE MORE WE KNOW THE MIND OF CHRIST, THE MORE MISSIONARY-MINDED WE BECOME.*

A very blessed and healthy Sunday to you. Our inspirational thought today helps ring in this day of worship. To give you context with the corresponding reading in the Daily Walk Bible, we are reading from the book of Acts where the church begins its full-on push into mission work to both Jews and Gentiles. These early disciples, many who had witnessed the teachings of Jesus in person, where passionate about sharing their relationship with Jesus to their family, friends, and even strangers. Today, we have the same Jesus as the early church, and we have the same salvation as they, so we should strive to have the same passion for sharing the Gospel. The more we know Jesus, the more Jesus becomes known to the world. Happy worship day!

In our pick verse today, John concludes this current scene of God’s divine drama that brings the world to an end. Most ancient people of John’s day were well acquainted with throwing grapes into a winepress and watching the juice be trampled out under the feet of the wine workers. Far different that the grape juice that flowed through the hole in the lower part of the winepress, John’s vision substituted the blood of the wicked being punished at this judgement harvest. The unfathomable amount of blood flowing far exceeded in both height and in length that of a normal winepress. The sheer number of those still on the earth who refused to accept Jesus produced this harvest of wickedness beyond measure.

Blessings
