Monday – November 13th – Revelation 15:8     -----

15:8) The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET; WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE.*

Good Monday to you! What a great inspirational thought for us to start this new week. This statement caused me to pause and think about what is more important to me – making a living or making a life. Of course, it is vital we are able to create income so that we can support ourselves throughout our adult life. But it is more important that as a follower of Jesus we focus more attention on a life of generosity. What good does it do to accumulate all the money in the world if we do not use it to help others in their time of need? I am reminded of the parable Jesus told of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man had ample opportunity throughout his life to share what he possessed, but instead focused on making a living and not making a life. As we begin this new week how might you practice extravagant generosity that benefits someone else?

In our pick verse today, John concludes this fifteenth chapter of Revelation, the scene set for the pouring of the final seven plagues. The angels are in place outside the Holy Temple in Heaven waiting to be dispatched. Yet Johns focus is now inside the Temple where he records it was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power so thick that no one could enter the Temple. No scene thus far in Revelation or any other book of the Bible more emphatically displays the sovereign holiness of God before all creation. After chapter sixteen, John will not see the Temple again, for it will not exist in the new order of Heaven as described in chapter 21:22.
