Friday – November 17th – Revelation 16:3 ------
16:3) Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
SACRIFICE IS THE ECSTASY OF GIVING THE BEST WE HAVE TO THE ONE WE LOVE THE MOST.*
Hey, Hey it is Friday! A lot of exciting things are happening at SunRise – yes, I know I said yesterday that we are in a short-term lull of activities, but – as we close out the year. One of the biggest and most exciting is our concentrated effort to expand the reach of our 8am Traditional Music service. Friends, if you have not experienced our 8am service you are missing a true hidden gem. Our music is led by Grant Watson who is a renowned and sought after accompaniment musician in the St. Louis area. We are blessed each week with a variety of hymns from Charles Wesley to Bill Gaither. Join us at 8am and please invite and share the fun we have early on Sunday morning. And maybe of the unspoken advantages is you are out in time for brunch at your favorite breakfast spot.
In our pick verse today, the second angel deposits his bowl of God’s wrath on the seas of the earth. The results picked up where the second trumpet judgment left off, where every living thing in the sea died. If there remained doubt or attempts at human explanation up to this point, then no doubt to even the greatest skeptic, this would certainly signal the death of our planet. Without life in the seas, life on land cannot exist for long. This is a second reminder of the scope and effects of sinful humanity on more than merely themselves. As we think of all the beautiful, unique, and brilliantly colored creatures of the sea, it is sad they will suffer for the arrogance and sinfulness of those who resist a relationship with Jesus.
Blessings
